Ovulation Induction

Ovulation Induction

Ovulation induction helps individuals with irregular cycles or unexplained infertility conceive by using medications (like Clomiphene or FSH) to stimulate egg maturation and release. It's suitable if the male partner has healthy sperm and fallopian tubes are healthy. Potential side effects include mild discomfort or multiple pregnancies.

Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI)

Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI)

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is a fertility treatment where sperm are directly placed into the uterus to increase the chances of fertilization. It's precisely timed with ovulation (using kits or trigger shots) and involves sperm washing to concentrate healthy sperm. IUI is suitable for couples with irregular cycles, healthy sperm/tubes, or unexplained infertility. Success depends on factors like age and sperm quality, with a slight risk of multiple pregnancies.

In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Treatment

In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Treatment

In-vitro fertilisation is commonly referred to as IVF or “test tube baby”. It is a process of fertilisation occurred outside the body which involves manually combining an egg and sperm in a laboratory dish. An embryo will be formed if the fertilisation is successful. Then, followed by an embryo transfer into the mother’s womb, a procedure which involves physically placing the embryo in the uterus. The remaining excess of good quality embryos may be frozen and cryogenically stored for future use in a procedure called – frozen embryo transfer.

Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

ICSI is a specialized IVF technique where a single sperm is directly injected into an egg to achieve fertilization. It's primarily used for severe male infertility (low count/motility, abnormal shape, etc.) or prior IVF fertilization failures. While highly effective, potential drawbacks include egg damage during the injection and the possibility that not all eggs are suitable.

Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer

Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer

GIFT (Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer) is an assisted reproductive procedure where a woman's eggs and sperm are combined and immediately placed into her fallopian tube via a laparoscopic procedure, allowing fertilization to happen naturally inside the body, unlike IVF where it occurs in a lab. This technique requires healthy fallopian tubes and is not suitable for cases involving tubal blockage, significant tubal damage, uterine abnormalities, or male factor infertility. Notably, Alpha IVF was responsible for the world's first GIFT baby for women with Mullerian Dysgenesis.

MicroTESE

MicroTESE

Alpha IVF offers MicroTESE, a highly precise, minimally invasive surgical procedure for men with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) – a condition of impaired sperm production. Using high magnification, MicroTESE selectively retrieves sperm from the testicles, boasting higher success rates (40-62%) and preserving testicular tissue better than conventional methods, offering a crucial chance for biological fatherhood.
